The Important Capt John Work (Ashford, CT) Cherry Chippendale Tall Clock. Works by Silversmith and Clockmaker Peregrine White of Woodstock, CT. The case, which has elaborate Fan, Swag, Bellflower and Patarae Inlay was made by David Goodell of Pomfret, CT. This clock descended in the John P Grosvenor family of Pomfret, CT. Provenance written in 1910 by John P Grosvenor, attached to inside of door.

Dimensions: Overall Height 85.5", height to top of scrolled pediment 82", case width 13.25", case depth 8", base width 20.5", base depth 10.25".
